Friday, June 1st, 2001. More serious digging. Our clay pile is growing, the trenches are getting deeper all around, and Terri's arm mustle looks pretty mean. :) Our work days are also getting shorter, because it becomes too hot earlier in the morning nowadays.

We lay down a level at the bottom of the trench to ensure that it has an angle going the right direction. We also want to make the bottom as smooth as possible so that water will flow through instead of making a puddle. |
