Day 16 - Transition II

Sunday, June 17, 2001. Little details sometimes take a long time. Today was practically spent getting the temporary faucet hooked up to our water line. The meter was replaced since last week's little vandalism. But that seemed to have changed the angle of our pipe a little bit, so we had to re-dig the trenches to fit the new direction. Then we realized that we were missing one part. Finally when we put the hose bib, we realized that it leaked! Special thanks to our friend Justin who came out again.

Ari working on the trench for the water pipe. The soil was hard to dig because it's near the road and the road fill (with lots of stones) covers this area.

Terri and Justin working on hooking up the parts. It's almost there!

And here it is! But actually the bib leaked so we have to replace it next week. Phew! But having water on site will be a very good thing for the rest of the building process.
