Saturday, June 24, 2001. Well, at this point the weather is not cooperating. It rained the previous night again and there was water at the bottom of the foundation trench. Our next step requires the bottom to be dry, as we need to tamp it down before we pour gravel into it. So - we scooped out the water and dug out some of the mud and sand that drained down to the bottom, but that was about all we could do. We thought about covering up the trench with tarps but then it is counter-productive when we want the trenches to dry!
