Sunday, July 29, 2001. We put the stakes up to show how high we needed to fill, then started dumping gravel into the trenches. It took so long to dig these trenches but filling them up went much faster. After 4 inches of gravel at the bottom we have to tamp again and then prepare to put the drainage pipe.

If you look at the stakes you can see the different layers that we marked. We put in 4 inches at the bottom, put a drainage pipe in, and fill up 6 more on top of that. |
