Monday, August 6, 2001. We finally topped off all the parts of the foundation! Now we just need to tamp it and level it before we start stacking the foundation stones. However, as usual things got very, very hot early on and we had to stop before we were finished with tamping. Bummer.

Most of the gravel is at the level we need. It's a little hard to see, but the surface is flat and level while the ground around it is sloping toward the left top corner of the picture. |
