Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001. Today we started building the foundation. We picked some of the biggest rocks and started in the southwestern corner. Now, this is another time consuming process. We have to find the right rock for each spot. It's like putting back together the 3-D puzzle that we just undid. We have to turn the rocks around in our head to see if it will fit the shape we need.
It took us about 2 hours to put 10 rocks down. Unfortunately Terri's left wrist had a problem - something popped inside when she and Ari were trying to lift one of the big rocks. It wasn't painful but she lot her grip, so we called it a day.

Terri is standing on our very first piece of foundation. The first of a million rocks to come! OK, we're a bit exagerating. |
