Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001. Last weekend we drove all the way to Colorado and got a pop-up camper that Terri's family owns. It was sitting at Terri's grandparents' in Wisconsin, but Terri's sister Toni, who lives in Denver, went and brought it to Colorado, so that we don't have to drive all the way up to Wisconsin. (got all that?)
The day was spent mostly setting up the camper and settling in, although we did stack a few rocks. The first night on our land was pretty chilly, but we were excited to be able to spend nights on our land comfortably! We are very hopeful that our progress will quicken now that we have a base camp on our land to store stuff and rest in-between work sessions. The weather is getting cooler, too.
The stars are beautiful out in the country, and it gets very dark and quiet. Can't wait till we get to really live on this land.

Here is our beautiful camper! It is like 30 years old, but it still works beautifully, thanks to Terri's Mom taking good care of it. |
