Wednesday, January 23, 2002. Some days are better than others, and today wasn't one of them. We came out to the land to put in a couple of hours because we didn't see any other windows of opportunity until the weekend. But the wind was very strong, the weather was iffy and we weren't feeling great. Bad things tend to pile up on one another, as it started raining right after we made one batch of cob and were getting ready to set in the fourth window frame. In a hurry we tried to cover the window frame with a big black plastic sheet. Right as we were trying to secure the plastic over the window, a strong gust came and blew on the window frame, knocking it down - right on top of Terri! A corner caught Terri's shoulder, giving her a very nasty bruise. However we considered ourselves lucky as it was our very biggest window frame and if it had hit her in a slightly different way it would have easily broke her collar bone. So we went home scared, discouraged and defeated.
