Day 82 - Building the Walls XXXIV
Wednesday, February 13, 2002. Our goal today is to finish the northern wall, the last space between the window frames we put in. However, we actually spent over an hour talking about the design issues regarding the west end of the house. We were trying to place a bathroom sink and figure out the pantry situation. In the kitchen we ended up having quite a bit less space than we originally thought, so we're having adjust some designs.
A new idea emerged from the discussion, which is to actually eliminate the small storage room we were going to have on the west end of the house. This leaves just the restroom sectioned away in the corner. We didn't decide that this is what we will do, but it's something to think about.
The hardest part of building this house has always been designing and making decisions. We really don't know what we're doing, although we feel good about things so far. We'll see how we feel about it when we actually live here.
