There are many small cedars on the land, and they are undesirable. So we dug a few out to see if we could do it. These our friends Mary and Shane on the left, with Terri on the right.

Then we looked for a few potential hose sites. After picking a few, we dug a hole in one of them, to see what it's like to dig there and what the soil is like. The top soil seems to be a healthy sandy clay.
